Much like our large, Catholic family, Venerable Aubert Herbals is a labor of love. 

About seven years ago, Jennie, the mother of the six beautiful children you see pictured above, started working on our homemade CBD oil recipe in an attempt to find a natural, gentle solution to her recently diagnosed ulcerative colitis.

Jennie, who had conducted years of doctorate-level research in clinical psychology, turned her research skills to CBD oil and believed it held the key to alleviating her symptoms. Unfortunately, she tried several other companies’ CBD with only limited success.  That’s when Jennie and her husband, Frank (an attorney by trade), began studying how they could make a more effective CBD oil. They found the key to unlocking the full potential of CBD was the “entourage effect” (the ability of other materials found in the hemp plant, such as CBG, THC, and terpenes, to enhance the potency and bioavailability of the CBD). They also found that most CBD oils on the market are made by chemical and other processes that strip many of the beneficial elements of the hemp plant out in order to isolate the commercially popular cannabinoids, such as CBD, CBG, and THC, resulting in a weaker, less potent product. 

Jennie and Frank’s research inspired them to create their own CBD oil, using only two organic materials (stoneground hemp flower and MCT oil from coconuts) and a proprietary, all-natural and traditional process that preserves as much of the cannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial plant material as possible, without using any chemicals, solvents, alcohols, or other harsh materials.

Jennie was pleasantly surprised to find that when taking our oil, her ulcerative colitis symptoms slowly but surely disappeared. She also found it helpful for taming her migraines, helping her sleep, and giving her an overall sense of wellbeing in the face of several autoimmune issues. She couldn’t help but share the news, and the oil, with friends, who also found it to be much more powerful than the other CBD oils they had tried.

After some coaxing from friends and a few more years of perfecting our methods, Venerable Aubert Herbals was born, both as a means of sharing our discovery with the rest of you, and as a legacy on which our family could work together and hand down to generations to come. We chose as our patron Venerable Suzanne Aubert, a French Nun from New Zealand, due to her commitment to using herbs, including “Indian hemp,” to ease the suffering of the native Maori people in a natural way that was pleasing to God.
