CBD and Caffeine

Over the years, several customers have been telling us that a low dose of CBD mixed with caffeine seems to improve symptoms of ADHD in both adults and children.  What they tell us, and what we have experienced ourselves, is that the CBD offsets the bad aspects of caffeine (i.e., jitters, an afternoon crash, perhaps a headache) and instead takes the good, clean energy it can provide and causes it to last all day. We decided to dig further and found that these stories are supported by the research

As you will see in the featured study (see the picture above), it also reduces impulsivity in animal models, an issue from which many with ADHD suffer.

In addition to impulsivity, ADHD often comes with increased anxiety and emotional dysregulation. Studies have shown that CBD really shines in this area as well, calming stress and anxiety, helping the primitive brain to release trauma, preventing the creation of more traumatic memories, and regulating the body’s physiology.  Of course, everyone could use that kind of help, but especially those with ADHD.
