I found this quote quite striking:
“It was also noted that those receiving pure CBD noted administering higher doses compared to those taking CBD-rich hemp extracts (25 mg/kg/day versus 6 mg/kg/day) without differences in efficacy.”
In other words, CBD-rich hemp extracts are stronger than CBD isolates.
This is huge.
Why? Why would CBD-rich hemp extracts, like Venerable Aubert Herbals’ oil, be more than four times stronger than the CBD isolates the pharma companies are pumping out at $500.50 for a 1 oz bottle of 3000 mg purified CBD?? (Let me point out, our 1500 mg (four times stronger than an equivalent of a CBD isolate product, is $140)!
The reason Venerable Aubert Herbals is more powerful is the Entourage Effect. Not only do we have our oil packed with naturally occurring CBG (more on CBG here), but our oil is also packed with terpenes and other plant compounds that are naturally extracted from the hemp flowers. All of these compounds work synergistically to create an elixir which is extremely potent.
You might notice that in an attempt to distinguish themselves, many CBD companies will talk about the strain of hemp from which they extracted their CBD. The problem is, this only matters if the other plant materials haven’t been stripped out. As we’ve described, many CBD oil companies use concentrated or isolated CBD which has been stripped from all the other plant compounds, such as the terpenes. It’s these other plant compounds, not the CBD itself, that differentiate one strain from another. In the end, if your CBD oil is just CBD, then the strain from which the CBD was stripped really doesn’t matter.
For Venerable Aubert Herbals, the strain of hemp we use is very important. Why? Because we don’t use concentrates or isolates. We use real organic hemp flower which we infuse right into our organic MCT oil. This process maintains not only the CBD, but the other cannabinoids, such as CBG, and the terpenes in that strain! In addition to increasing the “Entrouage Effect” (the ability of the other cannabinoids and flower compounds to enhance the effectiveness and bioavailability of CBD), but they have also been shown to do quite a bit on their own.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at what some of the studies are suggesting about the notable terpenes contained in the hemp flower we use here at Venerable Aubert Herbals. The biggest players are A-Pinene, B- Carophyllene and Myrcene:
A-Pinene
“A wide range of pharmacological activities have been reported, including antibiotic resistance modulation, anticoagulant, antitumor, antimicrobial, antimalarial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-Leishmania, and analgesic effects. This article aims to summarize the most prominent effects of α- and β-pinene, namely their cytogenetic, gastroprotective, anxiolytic, cytoprotective, anticonvulsant, and neuroprotective effects, as well as their effects against H2O2-stimulated oxidative stress, pancreatitis, stress-stimulated hyperthermia, and pulpal pain.” Biomolecules. 2019 Nov; 9(11): 738.
Basically, this study suggests A-Pinene may fight:
- Antibiotic resistance;
- Blood clotting;
- Tumors;
- Microbes;
- Malaria; and
- Pain
Studies also suggest A-Pinene may protect the digestive system and the neurological system, and that it may also help with:
- Anxiety;
- Pancreatitis;
- Convulsions; and
- Oxidative stress
Wow, that’s a lot!
B-Carophyllene
“However, CB2, particularly in peripheral tissues in the body, is a therapeutic target for treatment of inflammation, pain, atherosclerosis, and osteoporosis (Gertsch, 2008; Gertsch et al., 2008). Caryophyllene has now been shown to be directly beneficial for colitis (Bento et al., 2011), osteoarthritis (Rufino et al., 2015), diabetes (Basha and Sankaranarayanan, 2014), cerebral ischemia (Chang et al., 2013), anxiety and depression (Bahi et al., 2014), liver fibrosis (Calleja et al., 2013; Mahmoud et al., 2014), and Alzheimer-like disease types (Cheng et al., 2014). In cancer studies, β-caryophyllene demonstrated synergy with the chemotherapy drug Paclitaxel on human tumor cell lines, and alone it stimulates apoptosis and suppresses tumor growth (Legault and Pichette, 2007).” Nutraceuticals, Efficacy, Safety and Toxicity, 2016, Pages 735-754
This book on neutraceuticals suggests B-Carophyllene may help:
- Lower inflammation;
- Reduce atherosclerosis;
- Reduce pain;
- Colitis;
- Osteoarthritis;
- Diabetes;
- Cerebral ischemia;
- Anxiety and depression;
- Alzheimer-like disease; and
- Suppress tumor growth
Whoop whoop! Amazing.
β-Myrcene
“β-Myrcene reported biological activities include analgesic (19), sedative (20), antidiabetic (21), antioxidant (22), anti-inflammatory (23), and antibacterial (24)” Front Nutr. 2021; 8: 699666.
This quote is pretty clear. β-Myrcene may do quite a bit on its own, as studies suggest it may help with pain, relaxation and sleep, diabetes, inflammation, and bacteria overgrowth.
Our oil is packed with cannabinoids like CBD and CBG, each already so effective alone, but even better together. When you add in the terpenes found in our oil, you’ve got a synergistically powerful combo that really hits hard across the spectrum of health issues.
Just one more reason Venerable Aubert’s is Uniquely Potent and Completely Pure. Other oils strip out these gorgeous and health-promoting terpenes and then occasionally try to add them back in. We gently infuse them from the original flower into our oil in the proportions designed by God, rather than constructed by us.
Made by my family for your family, Venerable Aubert Herbals oil.
